Day 1 : Casablanca airport to Fes
Today we drive from Casablanca to Rabat. First in Casablanca you
will see the Hassan II Mosque, the largest outside of Mecca and
experience the coastal “Cornish” seaside. In Rabat you can see the
Hassan Tower, the Oudaya Kasbah and then we continue our tour to
Fes.
Day 2 : Fes and Merzouga desert
You have 4 hours to explore this Imperial City (Kairouine Mosque,
spice market, tanneries and leather market, pottery quarter, henna
market, metal workers, and Koranic school). Well visitold medina,
which is a World Heritage site. Then we leave to Midelt through the
Mountains and the cedar forests, we pass by Ifrane (ski resort) and
Azrou. At the afternoon we will drive to Erfoud, Rissani and into
the desert to Merzouga.
Day 3 : Merzouga desert
After breakfast we will explore this charismatic region. You will
have the opportunity to drink a tea with the nomad family, we will
visit the black desert and its fossils, and we also listen to
traditional music in Khamlia with Gwana people , while you taste
a
delicious Berber pizza. Then we take camel trek ,which takes about
1hr 30 min from the desert hotel to the desert
camp- bivouac where
we will enjoy the spirit of the nomadic Berber lifestyle. The tents
are equipped. After dinner we gather round the fire and enjoy the
desert at night with traditional Berber drums.
Day 4 : Merzouga – Toudgha Gorges – Dades
Valley
The camel guide will wake you up early
in the morning to watch the sunrise in the dunes. Then, we’ll ride
our camels back to our desert hotel enjoying the unique beauty of
the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast and shower we will
drive to Tinghir and Todra gorges – the highest, narrowest gorges in
Morocco. Then we continue our tour to Dades Valley for dinner and
overnight stay.
Day 5 : Dades valley – Nomad caves –
Ouarzazette
Today we travel through the Dades
Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazate. The route through Dades
Valley is the way
of 1000 Kasbahs. We will have the opportunity to
meet Berber Nomads in their caves. We’ll stop also in Kalaat M’gouna,
“the rose city”, where you can purchase the rosewater. We continue
to Skoura and the birds valley, you’ll visit the Kasbah Ameridil.
After lunch we drive to Ouarzazate, “the Hollywood of Africa” -
beautiful landscapes has attracted many world class movie producers.
Here you may choose to visit film studios, where many famous movies
has been shoot as :
The Mummy, Gladiator and the Last temptation of
Christ. We stay in Ouarzazatte overnight.
Day 6 : Ouarzazette – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah –
Marrakech
Today we travel via the dramatic Tizi Ntichka Pass and we will stop
at the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou -the largest Kasbah in
Morocco. After a short visit to the Kasbah, our journey continue
through the majestic Tizi n’tichka in High Atlas mountains before we
arrive to Marrakech.
